Real Madrid: Raul to make his own decision about his future
After Alessandro Del Piero and Thierry Henry, Raul has been said to be shortlisted by MLS team Red Bull.
First, the Italian Alessandro Del Piero was rumoured to have already signed with the American team... but as Del Piero said he wouldn't go to America for more than just holidays.
As reported by Spanish daily Marca, the decision about Raul's future with Real Madrid will be made by Raul and not the club, who have reportedly told the iconic captain that his future is in his own hands, and that the club will not make any attempt to force him out before the expiration of his contract on June 30, 2011.
Raul, who will be paid the same wage he receives at the Santiago Bernabeu, is eager to play in America, according to Marca.
"Some clubs have asked about Raul, but that is a question that depends exclusively on the player and he is very happy in Madrid" Raul's agent Gines Carvaja's confirmed.
David Beckham was the first super-start player to leave Spain for MLS side LA Galaxy, 3 years ago, which has indeed raised the global profile of the American football league.
