Preview: Italian Serie A, Matchday 1
The wait is finally over. Another exciting year of Italian Serie A is on its way, kicking off this weekend. However, the Italian and European Champions Inter are not playing until this Monday.
A 6 pm start for Juventus who are away to Bari: the Bianconeri will play the new striker, Fabio Quagliarella, born in Castellammare di Stabia, and a former attacker with Napoli. Without Amauri, Buffon and Iaquinta, the team trained by coach Delneri should be able to defeat Bari, who have completely reviewed their defence (they have sold Bonucci and Ranocchia). The home side will play 4-4-2 with Barreto and Kutuzov in attack. Bari will be supported by more than 50,000 fans. An away win is banked at 2.00 and it appears to be a solid choice, given that Juventus have demonstrated a good start in the Europa League.
Milan will host Lecce, who are newcomers. The home side will play 4-3-3 having recovered striker Pato. Ronaldinho and Borrielloarein are in good shape. Milan also acquired Ibrahimovic from Barcellona , but he will start to play from the next round. Lecce will miss important players Oliveira and Chevanton. They will play 4-4-1-1 to grab a point. The choice is home win at 1.30.
Palermo will face Cagliari: the home side are still without their important striker Miccoli and they could be tired after the Europa League match against Maribor. Coach Delio Rossi will confirm the same formation as at Maribor 4-3-1-2 with Pastore, Hernandez and Maccarone in attack. Cagliari who have new manager Bisoli will respond 4-3-2-1 with Matri in attack, supported by Cossu and Pinardi. The match should be very interesting and open. The previews are on a home win at 1.75 as well as over 2.5 goals at 1.90.
Another match where we should see plenty of goals Is the one between Sampdoria and Lazio. They are both offensive teams thanks to their clever strikers: Pazzini and Cassano for Samp, Floccari, Rocchi and Zarate for Lazio. The home side must be a little depressed after the match against Werder Bremen in the Champions: and so are determined to win in this first game of the domestic league. We bet on a home win at 1,95 as well as over 2.5 goals at 1.90
