Manchester United have been leaking goals aplenty in the Barclays Premier League away from home this season, conceding seven in three road trips so far.

Three of those goals came in the last minute while the two at Bolton on Saturday were courtesy of slack marking by Jonny Evans and poor positioning by Patrice Evra.

Concentration looks to be a key part of their unusually bad defensive form, then, and I reckon a tough European fixture away from home will sharpen their focus.

After all, these are the same defenders that have been so watertight over the last few years, a point that is highlighted by their recent Champions League trips to Spain.

United have had three successive goalless draws in Spain - at Villarreal (twice) and in the semi-final with Barcelona - and a point in Valencia wouldn't be such a bad result.

Los Che have made a good start to their La Liga season and they sit top after five games, winning four and drawing the other.

They haven't played anyone out of the top drawer as yet but their impressive start to the season won't be lost on Sir Alex Ferguson who missed United's Scunthorpe win to go on a spying mission to Spain.

Rio Ferdinand could be back for the game and that would heighten our interest in the 10.00 being offered about 'no goalscorer' by bet365t.

Also in Group C Rangers face Bursaspor and I must admit to raising an eyebrow when I saw Kenny Miller chalked up at 2.10 to score against the Turks.

The in-form striker has scored in every game he's played this season, Manchester United apart, and while Rangers looked capable of holding their own in Group C at Old Trafford, Bursaspor were trounced 4-0 in Valencia.

This is obviously Rangers' best chance of three points and I'd fancy them to get them, but they are a best-price evens to do so.

I think it makes sense to back their in-form striker, who has 10 goals in seven games, to hit the net anytime at a generous odds-against price.

Tottenham play FC Twente at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night and they look a bit skinny at 4/5 from what I've seen of Harry Redknapp's team recently.

Unusually for Spurs they've struggled for goals at times at home but their real problems are at the back with Michael Dawson's injury a real blow.

Frederic Piquionne scored against centre backs Vedran Corluka and Sebastien Bassong for West Ham on Saturday and though Ledley King should return for Spurs I think they might be vulnerable to at least a goal from a vibrant Twente side.

They're unbeaten in seven games in the Dutch Eredevisie, scoring 11 times in that period, with in-form midfielder Theo Janssen scoring a brace against Ajax at the weekend.

He also scored a free-kick against reigning champions Inter Milan in Twente's first group game so the 20/1 about him scoring first with Betfred appeals.

We'll back him each-way as they offer 17.00 the odds for the first four goals.
