English Npower League 1 Preview: Week 10

It's been an epic week for Dagenham & Redbridge as they come to terms with the demands of League One but a couple of big derby games might just take their toll when Swindon visit Victoria Road on Saturday.

Away trips to London bigwigs Charlton and Essex rivals Colchester were exactly the kind of challenges John Still's men were dreaming of when chasing promotion from the basement last season and they did themselves proud to take a point from both encounters.

However, we should expect their energy levels to drop for their third successive match against top-half opposition in a seven-day period and the Robins are perfectly equipped to take advantage.

There was no shortage of drama at The Valley as Daggers twice came from behind to grab a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw with the Addicks a week ago and it was an equally-compelling contest as they shared four goals once again with the U's at the Weston Homes in midweek.

Naturally, the newcomers haven't been short of plaudits for their efforts but they remain second from bottom on seven points and it only reinforces our opinion that fatigue could ensue in light of the emotional drain of both matches remaining finely-poised for the full 90 minutes.

Swindon also found themselves involved in a high-scoring encounter against Plymouth on Tuesday but they're much more accustomed to the rigours of life at this level and will be keen to get back on track after going down to Bradley Wright-Phillips' stoppage-time winner in that 3-2 defeat.

Manager Danny Wilson blamed a lack of concentration for that setback after they forced their way back from two goals down to level things up with Argyle but the Robins had won three games on the spin prior to that and generally appear to be back on course for another tilt at the play-offs.

The away win is available at 2.50 with Bet365 and that looks decent value. We had the Wiltshire side down as 11/8 shots on our tissue.
