Sven-Goran Eriksson didn't make the instant impact that many punters were expecting on Saturday but his Leicester side can oblige at attractive odds when they travel to Leeds on Tuesday.

The Foxes are 3.30 to take the spoils at a ground where they triumphed less than two months ago in the Carling Cup under previous boss Paulo Sousa and that's much better than we were expecting in light of the Swede's arrival.

Eriksson has a long history of charming players into action whenever he arrives at a new club and rest assured the visitors will head to Elland Road fully focused and feeling 10-feet tall after a couple weeks under the former England boss.

Leicester were a top-six outfit last season, so we shouldn't doubt for a moment they have the quality to climb out of the relegation zone and make a surge up the table in the coming weeks and we shouldn't read too much into their false start against Hull at the weekend.

Former boss Nigel Pearson went back to the Walkers Stadium with a point to prove, so it was never going to be a case of the Tigers being swept aside by the Sven effect, bearing in mind how clued-up Pearson was about his old troops.

Leeds underlined possible play-off credentials with victory at Middlesbrough in Saturday's televised clash and we shouldn't underestimate them, but the prices suggest they are stronger overall and that's a hasty conclusion to reach in light of recent capitulations against Barnsley and Preston.

The Whites have been hit and miss on home soil so far and we reckon clear favouritism in this game could be a big burden for them to carry in light of their defensive frailties.

Meanwhile, QPR have been the class act in the division to date, so it's surprising to see them chalked up as big as 3.00 for the trip to Swansea.

Neil Warnock's men have been irresistible on the road so far this season, taking 13 points from a possible 15 and bagging a dozen goals into the bargain, so they certainly won't be short of confidence when they head across the M4.

Much has been made about the R's attacking prowess but it seems to have escaped many people's attention that they've also notched nine clean sheets in 11 league outings and that, quite simply, is the hallmark of champions.

The layers are obviously paying great respect to Swansea's near-perfect home record but four defeats on the road would suggest the Jacks have their weaknesses and they've yet to host opposition of this calibre. 

Finally, Portsmouth continue to be underestimated by the bookies and they look excellent value at 3.50 for the short trip to Millwall.

The Lions did us proud in the south London derby at Selhurst Park on Saturday but it's the kind of fixture that threatens to have a knock-on effect and we've already stressed our concerns about their stamina.

Kenny Jackett's men are no shrinking violets but it's difficult for them to sustain the physical demands of their approach when playing twice in three days, and we can be sure an experienced Pompey side will stand up and be counted in front of a hostile crowd at the New Den. 

The perils of fixture congestion on Millwall's style was perhaps best illustrated by their embarrassing 6-1 defeat at home to Watford, not to mention their failure to overcome 10-man Burnley in their own backyard a few days after grinding out a goalless draw in another local derby at QPR.

Steve Cotterill has had his problems at Fratton Park but things appear to be looking up and the Hampshire club showed bags of character to come from behind and beat a spirited Watford side 3-2 in their last outing.

With regards the prices, these teams were two divisions apart last season and though they came into the campaign with wildly contrasting moods, things are beginning to level out now and we haven't seen enough to suggest the Lions should be such hot favourites.
