Europa League, Group Stage Round 5 (Thursday)
We've regularly reeled out the statistic about Liverpool's poor away form in recent months but after Sunday's impressive display at Spurs, we're left with something of a dilemma ahead of Thursday's trip to Steaua Bucharest.
For the record, the Reds' away record in 2010 now stands at won five, drawn 10, lost 11. However, the weekend defeat at White Hart Lane was tough on Roy Hodgson's men, who produced their best away performance for some considerable time. They could easily have been two or three ahead before the hosts fought back. Significantly that game saw Hodgson move away from his conservative one-up-front tactics - perhaps his hand was forced by Steven Gerrard's injury. He'll surely want to continue in that vein in the league, although whether he'll risk Fernando Torres in this one remains to be seen, and such potential team changes put us off getting with the visitors. Hodgson has played the likes of Milan Jovanovic, Jay Spearing and Jonjo Shelvey regularly in the Europa League games this season and with Premier League points still very much needed as the Reds look to climb the table, priority is again likely to be given to domestic matters. They've managed to get by without the first choice XI in this competition - it's two wins and two draws in Group K so far. Definitely out of this one are Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Daniel Agger, creating some concerns at the back, but Sotorios Kyrgiakos has enjoyed a pretty good season when he's played and isn't a bad replacement for Carragher. Joe Cole could also return. Liverpool won the reverse fixture 4-1 but two late goals gave the scoreline something of a flattering look and Steaua will be a different proposition on home soil. The Romanians have lost just once at home in 12 matches this season, so it's the draw which looks the best value in the outright market. Available at 3.30, the result will be enough for Liverpool to progress to the knockout stages, while it will certainly also aid Steaua's chances, leaving qualification in their own hands going into the final round of group games. We're also going to try a punt on 'no goalscorer' at 9.00. Both of Liverpool's away games in the group so far have ended goalless and given it's a result that takes them through it looks more than a possibility. There may well be no Torres - Liverpool's top goal threat - in the visitors' team, while the hosts have striker Pantelis Kapetanos suspended. Remember to back 'no goalscorer' in the first scorer market as opposed to 0-0 in the correct score one as it not only provides 'own goal insurance' but also, on this occasion, sees you get a better price.
