Loftus Road plays host to the biggest match of the Championship season so far on Saturday and we believe the occasion could offer the ideal platform for Cardiff to get their season back on track and send out an emphatic message to those who question their title credentials.

The Bluebirds have stuttered since the start of November, losing consecutive home games against Swansea and Nottingham Forest, but there's no doubting their greater pedigree in matches of this magnitude and they look terrific value on the draw no bet market at 2.50.

With QPR protecting an unbeaten run and erring towards the side of caution with increasing regularity in recent weeks, it makes sense to keep the stalemate onside, but we fancy the visitors to benefit from a more daring mindset on the back of those recent defeats.

The Hoops boast an impressive home record of six wins and three draws but they've yet to be properly tested on their own patch and they could be in for a bit of culture shock against Cardiff team who have also won six out of nine on their travels.

Looking at it from a compilers' perspective, the formbook seems to be the only thing to separating the two sides at the moment but this is where you need to take a step back, look closely at the two teams and appreciate that most of the potential match-winners will be in the visiting line-up.

Rangers' inspiration up to this point has mostly come from the boots of Adel Taarabt and Jamie Mackie but neither player has much previous to call upon and, understandably, their impact has faded as the campaign has progressed.

Dave Jones, by contrast, can look towards seasoned promotion campaigners like Jay Bothroyd, Michael Chopra and Peter Whittingham for a flash of brilliance - and that's before we even get to Craig Bellamy.

Because if ever a stage was set for Bellamy to dig deep and remind everyone of his calibre, then this is it.

His impact for his hometown club thus far has been disappointing but everyone will still regard him as the outstanding player on the pitch and his presence could make all the difference, even if the responsibility falls to someone else to dish out the killer blow.

Meanwhile, another draw no bet price worth consideration is the 2.50 available on Hull City for their trip to Middlesbrough.

The Tigers did the business for bettingzone followers at home to Ipswich last weekend and we've no qualms about backing them again with the Teessiders still far from convincing.

Nigel Pearson has clearly got to grips with his dressing room now that he's gained some authority through the recent Allam family takeover with the club's debts wiped out and some money to spend in the January transfer window.

Typically, the response has been solid rather than spectacular with back-to-back clean sheets providing a platform for success and they could frustrate a sterile Boro side lacking of width and guile.

Staying near the bottom, we've also picked out another couple of teams whose fortunes appear to be taking a turn for the better, both of whom can be backed at fancy prices with home advantage.

The first of them is Bristol City to beat Sheffield United at 2.50.

The Robins endured a torrid start to the season, accentuated by Steve Coppell's decision to walk out on the club in the first week, leaving successor Keith Millen with the tough challenge of mending confidence and getting the team performing again.

However, their long-serving backroom stalwart now seems to be getting to grips with the job and we shouldn't forget this is a club that has finished in the top-half of the table in each of the last three seasons.

Recent results suggest the Robins can stretch that sequence by another year with Reading, Swansea and Leicester all beaten to nil in the past few weeks, while leaders QPR were also given a fright, needing a late equaliser to escape Ashton Gate with a barely-deserved point.

Sheffield United have been plagued by their own problems and though they completed back-to-back wins with victory over Crystal Palace last weekend, it would be naive to believe the early dismissal of Owen Garvan didn't play a significant part in the outcome.

On which note, we raise the case for Crystal Palace to respond in positive fashion with victory over Doncaster at Selhurst Park at 2.75.

Successive home wins over Watford and Coventry going into last weekend's 3-2 defeat at Bramall Lane suggest the Eagles are back in business and it's no coincidence that the upturn has followed the return to fitness of Darren Ambrose and Neil Danns.

It's not often we've opposed Donny since they were promoted from League One two-and-a-half years ago but Sean O'Driscoll's men are finally starting to receive the recognition they've long deserved.

Nonetheless, recent results against Coventry, Derby and Reading since the start of October serve as proof that they will never be sure things and the price is right to get involved with Palace.
